The Family Fitness 5k & 1.3 Mile Event is a Success!

Thank you to all our participants, volunteers, spectators, and sponsors.  Each of you contributed to our race and we thank you for it.  Despite colder than normal temperatures this morning, we had a GREAT race day.  We hope you had a fantastic time and will join us again next year.

We will share photo links via email only.  If you want to view today's photos, please be sure we have your email address.  We sent an email to participants today with the race results.  If you didn't receive an email it's because we either don't have your email or we have an error with your address.  Please email FamilyFitness5k@gmail.com if you want to be emailed the photo links.

Thanks for making our 5th Annual Family Fitness 5k & 1.3 Mile Race a success.  See you in 2014.

We are so excited for
Race Day - Saturday, January 12, 2013

Registration
If you haven't registered yet, you can still do so. Thursday, January 10th is the last day we are accepting registrations.  There won't be any registration on race day.  There are 3 ways to register through Thursday:
1. Complete our mail-in form (see above right icon) and bring it to Paloma or Pueblo by Thursday morning
.   3. Register in person at our packet pickup – Thursday, January 10th from 5 pm – 7 pm at Sole Sports Running Zone in Tempe (NE Corner of Rural and Warner).

Packet Pickup You have two options for picking up your packet.
     1.  Thursday, January 10th.  Join us at Sole Sports Running Zone - 1006 E. Warner Road #104, Tempe 85284.  Phone # 480-522-2475.  We will be on site from 5 pm to 7 pm to register new people and distribute your goodies, which includes a goodie bag, t-shirt, and race # (bib).  This is a great opportunity to beat the crowds and lines that you might experience on race day.
     2.  We will have the 5k packet pickup on Saturday from 8 am to 8:45 am.  We will start the race on time so please arrive before 8:45 to make sure you have enough time to get your packet before the race starts.  If you are doing the 1.3 mile only, you do not have to come at 8 to get your packet.  We will continue packet pickup for the 1.3 mile race until 10 am.

    Chip Timing
All Distance Running will be doing our chip timing this year with their Champion Chip timing system.  All chips will be distributed on race morning.  We want everyone to pick up their timing chip so their time will be recorded.  The chips are easy to use - just velcro the strap around your ankle.  The chips will be collected at the finish line.

 Race Morning
Please be sure to arrive at the designated packet pickup times so you are ready to go with your bib and timing chip when the race starts.  The 5k starts at 9:15 am.  The 1.3 mile starts at 10:30 am.

     Race Location/Parking
The race is being held on the joint campus of Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School and Kyrene de la Paloma Elementary.  The main crossroads are Chandler Boulevard and Rural Road.  You can use this address to Mapquest it: 360 S. Twelve Oaks Blvd, Chandler 85226.  There is plenty of parking in the large parking lot between Paloma Elementary and Pueblo Middle Schools.  The large parking lot is located off of Whitten.

This is our 5th year hosting this event.  It just gets better every year and we're excited for all that we have to offer.  Some of our sponsors will be on site with some fun games so please be sure to visit their booths.

Please remember no wheels or pets on the course.  Baby joggers are okay as long as they start towards the back of the crowd.
