Race
Day - Sunday, January 25, 2015
Registration
Please note that we won't
have registration on race day. You can still register by one of these 3 options:
1. Complete our
mail-in form (see above right icon) and hand deliver to Pueblo Middle School by
Thursday, January 22nd at noon.
2. Register
online at Active.com (see above left icon) by Saturday, January 24th
at 8 pm.
3. Register in
person at our packet pickup – Saturday, January 24th from 3 pm – 5 pm
at Sole Sports Running Zone in Tempe (NE Corner of Rural and Warner).
Packet Pickup You
have two options for picking up your packet.
1. Saturday, January 24th. Join us at Sole Sports Running Zone - 1006 E. Warner Road #104, Tempe 85284. Phone # 480-522-2475. We will be on site from 3 pm to 5 pm to register new people and distribute your goodies, which includes a goodie bag, t-shirt, and race # (bib). This is a great opportunity to beat the crowds and lines that you might experience on race day and do some last minute shopping.
2. We will have the 5k packet pickup on Sunday from 8 am to 8:45 am. We will start the race on time so please arrive before 8:45 to make sure you have enough time to get your packet before the race starts. Packet pickup for the 1.3 mile is from 8 am until 10 am. If you are doing the 1.3 mile only, you do not have to come at 8 to get your packet but be sure to arrive before 10 so you can enter our raffle prize drawing (see below for more details on the raffle).
Chip Timing
4 Peaks Racing will be doing our chip timing again this year with disposable chips. The chip is already attached to your race bib. Results will be displayed on a computer screen after you cross the finish line.
Race Morning
Please be sure to arrive during the designated packet pickup times so you are ready to go with your bib and timing chip when the race starts. The 5k starts at 9:15 am. The 1.3 mile starts at 10:30 am.
Race Location/Parking
The race is being held at Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School. The main crossroads are Chandler Boulevard and Rural Road. You can use this address for GPS: 5000 W. Whitten, Chandler 85226. That’s the address for Paloma Elementary. There is plenty of parking in the large parking lot between Paloma Elementary and Pueblo Middle Schools. Parking is a only a short walk from the race start & finish.

Like last year, we will line up at the start line in order of estimated finish time. If you are expecting to finish in less than 20 minutes, you will be at the front. If you are walking or pushing a baby jogger, please place yourself towards the back of the crowd. This will allow our competitive runners to have their best time and allow our walkers to be able to walk without feeling pressured. Please note the fastest runners will pass walkers on the sidewalk behind the school. Walkers, please stay to the right of the sidewalk behind the school.
Raffle Prize Instructions
We take pride in our generous free raffle. We have over 60 prizes to award in our raffle drawing this year. The bottom of your bib is your raffle entry. Each raffle prize type will have a separate collection bag. You will place your raffle entry into the collection bag for the item of your choice. Some items will have multiple winners - the collection bag label will clearly state how many winners will be selected for that item. The winners will be drawn at 10:25 am. Please be sure you have your entry in by 10:15 am. There will be a master raffle prize listing displaying the bib # of the winner. You must present your bib to collect your prize and all prizes must be claimed at the event.

Silent Auction
We have
2 exciting prizes that will be available through our silent auction. The silent auction will begin at 8 am and
will close at 10:15 am. The person with
the winning bid must pay cash by 10:30 am or the prize will go to the next
highest bidder. The two prizes are:
1. 2 Tickets to a
Diamondbacks baseball game in the Home Plate Box seating area. Good for any game except Opening Day. Value is $220. Opening bid is $25.
2. 4 Tickets to a
Diamondbacks baseball game in the Infield Box seating area. Good for any game except Opening Day. Value is $180. Opening bid is $20.
Age Group Awards
Our awards ceremony will be at 11 am, following the 1.3 mile race. We encourage everyone to stay for the ceremony. We will be tossing freebies into the crowd as an added incentive for you to stay. And please be sure to check the computer posting before you leave to see if you are in the top 3 for your age group.
Weather
The forecast looks great for race day with the high for the day in the high 70’s. It will be beautiful running weather.

Course Rules/Courtesy
You are
welcome to wear headphones on our race course.
Please no dogs, scooters, skateboards, or bikes.
